These belts are designed to fit all Mk1 models and use the factory mounting points. As you can see, the Securon brand is not original VW equipment; it is an aftermarket part manufactured to the appropriate safety standards.

You will need to make small adjustments to the car for this kit to work properly. The front trim panel covering the mechanisms will need to be re-glued because the clip will not work. The buckles bolt to the seat frame and are flexible, so they need to be bent into shape.

The slot in the rear speaker shelf is a little too small, so it will need to be enlarged so the new belt clip can pass through to the boot.

Please note that these items are not electrical and will not replace a seat belt warning buzzer or dashboard light, but they can be used instead of a system once it has been disabled for MOT purposes.
