General Sales Conditions: Surplus Autos currently operates a business of dismantling and selling used spare parts for all motor vehicles under number n°4677Z. Article 2: Acceptance of General Sales Conditions The Buyer must, prior to the validation of his/her order of Spare Parts, demonstrate his/her knowledge and acceptance of the General Sales Conditions - on the Internet by checking the "I approve and have read the General Sales Conditions" icon and then clicking on the "Confirm Order" icon displayed on the screen. Any order for Spare Parts by the Buyer implies his/her full and unconditional acceptance of the General Sales Conditions, to the exclusion of any other document such as brochures, catalogs, commercial proposals issued by Surplus Autos.
The General Sales Conditions come into effect at the time of validation of the order by the Buyer and are concluded for the duration necessary for the supply of the Spare Parts ordered by the Buyer. The present General Sales Conditions prevail over all general or specific purchasing conditions, except for Surplus Autos' express and formal derogation. Surplus Autos reserves the right to modify the General Sales Conditions at any time.
In this case, the applicable General Sales Conditions will be those in force on the date of the Buyer's order. Article 3: General Warranty Conditions In accordance with Articles 1641 et seq.
of the French Civil Code, Surplus Autos guarantees the Buyer against hidden defects in the Spare Parts sold in addition to the contractual guarantee of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase indicated on the invoice or delivery note. The application of this guarantee is subject to the condition that the mounting of the Spare Parts by the Buyer has been carried out in accordance with the rules of the art and in compliance with the recommendations and standards of the manufacturers. Under no circumstances can Surplus Autos be held responsible or assume any financial responsibility for the costs of installation and removal, labor, accessories, supplements, shipping, breakdown assistance, towing, immobilization, and vehicle rental. Any modification of the Spare Parts (incorrect assembly or lack of adjustment) will result in the exclusion of any warranty. As far as possible and subject to availability, under the guarantee, Surplus Autos undertakes to exchange the said part.
Otherwise, Surplus Autos will refund the Spare Part to the Buyer. Article 4: Special Warranty Conditions for Certain Spare Parts In accordance with what is indicated above in Article 2, the Buyer must follow the following recommendations in order to be able to request the activation of the warranty following the purchase of the Spare Parts. 3.1 For engines: the warranty applies only to the bare engine. Peripheral parts are provided free of charge (and therefore not guaranteed). All non-invoiced ancillary parts are therefore not guaranteed.
Starting instructions are provided with the engine(s), but we still specify that before installation, it is imperative to: - Place a new oil cartridge, oil filter, and fuel. Do not use those supplied with the delivered engine, and especially not those from your old mechanics. The spark plugs and/or glow plugs must also be replaced with new ones, as well as the cooling and oil liquids. Have the timing belt or distribution kit changed according to the condition (belt and pulleys) as well as that of the alternator and water pump, by your garage mechanic, a damaged belt can seriously damage your mechanism.
Before the first start-up, prime the oil pump by cranking the engine for a long time (during this operation, the coil wire will be disconnected or the engine stop command will be in position for diesel engines). Do not rev the engine at start-up, let it idle for a few minutes instead. All engines must now be programmed as well as the injectors, which is why we ask that they be installed by an authorized garage mechanic and in possession of the appropriate device for programming.
The 12-month warranty from the day of purchase or delivery note of said engine will only be granted if the engine has been installed by an authorized garage mechanic, and the installation invoice may be requested from the Buyer. Without an installation invoice or installed by an unauthorized garage mechanic, the warranty will be refused. Any failure to comply with the above-mentioned mounting instructions would cancel Surplus Autos' warranty, and any anomaly in the cylinder head gasket must be reported within 14 days of the engine purchase. After this period, no claim can be registered. The warranty will only apply if the oil consumption exceeds that defined by the manufacturer.
3.2 For gearboxes, transfer cases, and rear axles: non-invoiced peripheral parts are therefore not guaranteed. Some accessories must be systematically replaced by new ones, such as transmission output seal rings and oil of a quality recommended by the manufacturer. 3.3 For transmissions: transmission bellows are not guaranteed.
3.4 For alternators and starters: before installation, the buyer must check the electrical circuits. 3.5 For injection pumps: peripheral parts are provided free of charge (and therefore not guaranteed). Before installation, the Buyer must check the fuel circuits.3.6 For injectors: our injectors come from engines that have been started. In order to function properly, the injectors must be recoded. The warranty will only apply to the replacement of the Spare Part, and no refund will be
