Here is another RC kit based on the MB-01 chassis — this time with a long wheelbase and front-engine/front-wheel drive (FF), just like the real Golf, one of Volkswagen’s most iconic cars. Since its first appearance in 1974, the Golf has continually evolved and has become a global leader in the compact car category. In 1986, the GTI 16V joined the second-generation Golf II lineup, which had debuted in 1983. Featuring a 1,781 cc inline 4-cylinder engine with a double overhead camshaft and 16 valves, this specially prepared car competed in world rallies and became class champion in 1986.
