Here is another RC kit based on the MB-01 chassis—this time with a long wheelbase and a front-engine, front-wheel-drive (FF) layout, just like the real Golf, one of Volkswagen’s most iconic cars. Since its debut in 1974, the Golf has continued to evolve and lead the compact car segment worldwide. In 1986, the GTI 16V joined the second-generation Golf II range, which had been introduced in 1983. Powered by a 1,781 cc inline-four engine with dual overhead camshafts and 16 valves, a specially prepared version competed in World Rally Championship events, winning its class in 1986. MB-01 chassis with a long wheelbase and a front-engine, front-wheel-drive (FF) layout.

The lightweight polycarbonate body faithfully reproduces the shape of the Volkswagen Golf II GTI 16V. Body pre-painted in Bright Red (PS-34), with smoke-tinted windows (PS-31). Pre-cut wheel arches and pre-drilled mounting holes. Separate clear parts for the headlights and taillights. Radial tires and wheels with circular holes. Type 540 motor and electronic speed controller included.

Required separately: radio transmitter and receiver, steering servo, 7.2 V battery pack, and charger.
